One thing I learned after working on the "Streets of Manhattan" series thing I've been putting up lately is that street photography is just like noir film...on matter what you do, it inevitably and unceasingly and ANNOYINGLY begs to be in black and white. The only reason why I left the majority of the photos in color was so I could see whether or not I could pull off leaving it in color...I think several of them would have looked better in BW, but whatever. I was seeing BW street shots everywhere...no color whatsoever. I guess there's a reason why it's all mostly BW too...since generally they look perfect that way. haha. Whatever.

After being inactive for a LONG time, I finally came back and did a mass upload with my eleven photo "The Night and Silence" series. I didn't think it was that great a set (I got lazy and rushed through some of the later photos), but it got more attention than I expected...like seventeen favorites and a couple comments. For my page, that's amazing. It was taken in New Jersey on a cool foggy night that was fucking freezing...BUT...I got some good photos I guess. Anyway, I'm gonna upload another set sometime in the next couple days of street shots I took in Manhattan...this one has 21 photos in it...lol. -___-;; I still hate running photosho

Yeah...what else is new? Equipment sucks shit. I was at a retreat thing over the weekend, and I talked to a guy who brought his Nikon camera with a flash. I never realized what I was missing...even after just snapping a few quick shots and looking over what he'd taken himself. That thing totally fucked my mind up. None of you have ANY idea (well...you probably do, actually) how much I struggled with and was frustrated by having to work with ambient lighting all the time; especially when I was on assignment for my school's paper back in the day...have you ever tried taking shots of people on a stupidly dimly lit stage in a lecture hall lit o
